Funding People CIC launched in April 2021 to support current and future leaders of small charitable organisations, to understand, prepare for, and access funding. Because, when the people leading organisations get the right support, their organisations do well, and their communities can thrive!
Funding isn’t just about writing a good grant application – it’s all about the work that goes into it before, during and after! This is why we help community leaders with ‘all things funding’, not just the final grant application itself.
As a Community Interest Company, all our profits are reinvested, so we can continue to build the services we can offer, and increase our impact.
We collaborate with some incredible and well established organisations, who're all working towards a better, stronger, and more supportive sector.
We meet with community leaders at least once a month, to help them understand the ‘funding cycle’ and what is needed to effectively fundraise – community consultation, project shaping, grant prospecting, budget design, grant planning and writing, monitoring and evaluation.
We help community leaders and their charitable organisations to access funding by supporting them through the funding cycle. We help them strategise and plan, shape their projects, create budgets, write grant applications, and mentor them through all other aspects of fundraising.
We teach and train the people running charitable organisations the skills they need to continue accessing funding, by delivering group training sessions, 1:1 grant reviews, ongoing support with community engagement or advice around monitoring and evaluation.
We’re not the only ones out there working to support community leaders! We work with partners, who’re experts in other areas that community organisations need support with, to make sure community leaders get ALL the support they need to lead their organisations and make the biggest difference for their beneficiaries.
